Ikemefuna Nwosu is an educator at Lake Land College in Mattoon, Illinois. These wise words from Lawrence Kubie guide Ike’s approach to life and work “…the ultimate goal of education is to help the person become a human being, as fully human as he can possible be.”
Professionally, he is committed to facilitating self-awareness, development, and the engagement of one’s potential regardless of where one’s strengths lie. He has applied this focus both in and outside the classroom.
Ike has been at Lake Land College since 2002. He was a student, worked as a student tutor, and eventually became a tenured faculty member three years after receiving his master’s degree in Biosciences. His first official leadership role started as Division Chair of Math and Science in 2015. In 2022, Ike began his new role as Vice President of Academic Services, where he administers and supervises all academic operations of the college, including strategic planning, development, administration, supervision, and evaluation of academic programs and personnel. He is completing his doctoral dissertation in Community College Leadership through
Ferris State University.
Every year, graduating students from Lake Land College are asked to select “Someone who Made a Difference” in their college experience. Between 2009 and 2021, Ike has been selected by 41 students as making a difference.
Ike is a committed Chelsea fan who loves to travel and is a self-appointed Cheesecakeaficionado. He is sadly estranged from his massive stamp collection due to life’s many commitments.

Shannon Jones is the Chief Executive Officer of Woodlake Specialty Hospital. On her path towards CEO, Shannon has worked as Admissions and Marketing Director, Director of Physician Relations, Assistant Administrator and Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.

Shannon is a dynamic senior leader and professional possessing over 15+ years in the healthcare industry. She has a proven track record of superior performance in the Sub Acute healthcare industry, seeks to leverage her experience in Business Operations, Program Leadership, Team Development, Community Engagement, Resource Alignment, and Professional Development.

She resides on the south side of Chicago, with her husband of 14years. She loves long walks, non-fictional books, spontaneous trips, and a gathering with good friends and family.

Dr. Mubanga is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who has been in practice  since 2016.  She attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin followed by residency at Aurora - St. Luke’s hospital in Milwaukee, WI which included a longitudinal elective in community medicine. She was also a National Health Service Scholar. Since graduation from residency in 2016, she has dedicated her career to community medicine with focus on populations that face significant barriers to care. In 2020, she became the Chief Medical Officer at the Kenosha Community Health Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin where she continues to provide patient care while also serving in her leadership role.  

Pastor Larry Parish established ministry resources in the early '90s. He has consulted with churches, missions foreign and domestic. He has also incorporated several non-profit corporations.

Rev Henry Matifeyo is an ordained Minister in the United Church of Zambia. He has served various Congregations in Lusaka, the Capital city of Zambia. He is an alumni of the Western Cape University of the Republic of South Africa. A philanthropist, Minister of word and sacraments. He comes with 28 years of experience in Ministry, as a counselor, and husband to one wife, Daphine. A father to three Children, 2 Young men and 1 young lady.

Stephen Chiwele is an employee of the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services, currently working as National Coordinator under the Social Cash Transfer Project Implementation Unit, a component of the Girls Education Women Empowerment and Livelihood project, supported by the World Bank. He holds more than 15 years of work experience in the Social Protection sector having worked at different levels of Management, both in International Humanitarian Organizations and Government, his most recent position being ‘Chief Social Welfare Officer’ in the Department of Social Welfare, where he managed implementation of programs targeting Persons with Disabilities, the elderly and other vulnerable groups. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Sociology and a Master of Science in Project Management. Further, he has acquired a number of International qualifications mainly centered around designing, Implementation, and Management of different types of Social Safety Nets and Systems building.

Hamoonga Samuel Kalapa "Sam", RN, BSN, earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and he is currently in graduate school to obtain his practitioner degree with a specialty in Psychiatric Mental Health at Alverno College in Wisconsin. Sam was born and raised in Lusaka, Zambia. He graduated high school at Chikankata High School in Mazabuka, Zambia. He then relocated to the USA in 2008. Sam now has more than a decade of nursing experience in home care setting and intensive (ICU) care units. For the last 4 years, he has been working as travel nurse in the ICU all over the US. He recently has been working for Covered Heathcare, a staffing agency that he owns, to help with nurse shortage that has affected a lot of healthcare facilities in the US. Sam uses that experience to provide exceptional care and treatment to individuals at their lowest points in life, aswell as collaborate with physicians/providers to come up with individualized plans of care.
